How richly blessed we are to be your partners in
ministry. There are 65 synods in our church, and we are
fortunate to have our home in this one.
It would be impossible to list all the ways
you enrich Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary. You call our
graduates to serve your congregations and local ministries.
You help us teach our students by providing internship and
teaching parish sites. You send us your brightest and best
sons and daughters to study and learn. You favor us with your
gifts and prayers and support. We are the envy of the seven other
ELCA seminaries for the ways you find to strengthen
us. Now in this month of
December you have made us the special focus for your Second
Mile Giving effort. One more blessing for us to
count. Thank you so much for
your abundant goodness to us. Not a single kindness is
overlooked or unappreciated. We savor every one with grateful
hearts. Christmas peace to
you all,
Dr. Phyllis Anderson President Pacific Lutheran
Theological
Seminary

SUPPORTING THE MISSION OF
OUR CHURCH
The Mission Support Commitment Form for
2010 has been mailed out to congregations. Finance committees
and congregation councils should prayerfully consider their
level of support for the mission of the wider church. Through
these gifts, we support new mission starts, congregations in
transition or crisis, missionaries, seminaries, church-related
colleges, campus ministries, outdoor ministries, social
ministry organizations, and advocacy.
As we give, we also
receive partnership support for our synod's mission from the
churchwide expression in the way of grants, services,
programs, staff, and resources. We are all in this together.
Thank you!
