Lutheran Hunger Network

The Lutheran Hunger Network works with the Central California Food Bank to distribute food from various churches on one Saturday per month. Whether you need food for yourself and your family or whether you’re looking for a volunteer opportunity, you’re welcome to participate!

Lutheran Office of Public Policy

The Lutheran Office of Public Policy represents the coordinated witness of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) on issues of public policy in the state of California. In addition to our presence on legislative matters, we provide education and networking for our 400 ELCA congregations across the state. We work hand in hand with other faith-based and secular groups seeking peace and justice.

California Lutheran University

Our dedicated, accomplished faculty works with small classes of students who are open-minded — about ideas, about people and about faith — and are seeking to grow as individuals. Both in and out of the classroom, everyone at Cal Lutheran is committed to helping each student pursue their passions to discover their purpose. By following that purpose, they can transform their communities — and the world.

Lutheran Social Services of NorCal

LSS of Northern California's mission is to promote stability and honor the dignity of those we serve by providing supportive housing services that lead to self-sufficiency. Your donation to LSS helps people rebuild their lives after being homeless. Your donations makes you part of the solution to ending homelessness.

Partner Synods

Farming Hope

Farming Hope manages a culinary job training program for community members who are overcoming obstacles such as former incarceration or homelessness. Their paid employment program helps adults transition to personal well-being and employment while nourishing neighbors who are food-insecure and rescuing food from landfills.

Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary (PLTS)

Seminary Fund income is applied where the seminary’s needs and opportunities are greatest. Unrestricted income has a particularly great importance for PLTS because our endowment is relatively small. The PLTS Seminary Fund is one way friends, graduates, parents, and others can most effectively serve our students.

Lutheran Engagement & Advocacy in Nevada (LEAN)

Representing member congregations of the Grand Canyon and Sierra Pacific Synods of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, LEAN advocates for the common good and promotes public policies that reflect the Christian values of peacemaking, hospitality to strangers, care for creation, and concern for people living in poverty and struggling with hunger and disease.

Global Refuge

Global Refuge is committed to walking alongside new immigrants as they become valued and empowered members of our community. G.R. does this by helping them find a place to live, connect with services and resources, learn a new language, enroll in school, and meet a new community. From there, they work with individuals and families to build a strong economic foundation, from financial literacy to employment and job search assistance.

Lutheran Campus Ministries

Lutheran Disaster Response

San Francisco Night Ministry

Night Ministry rekindles hope by being present and loving people by increasing access to spiritual care and community -- at night, on the streets, and on the phones. No judgment. No conversion. This is a multi-faith and interfaith ministry offering care to everyone, regardless of their beliefs.
